چکیده

In this study, the vertical accuracy of Shuttle Radar Topography Mission Digital Elevation Model Version 2.0 (SRTM30), Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Global DEM (ASTER GDEM2), Land Observing Satellite World 3D Surface 2.1 (ALOS AW3D30) was statistically assessed using GPS data. The Fergana Valley area chosen as a study region, where land surface can reflect tectonic processes. values ellipsoidal heights 27 points regional network were reference geometric approach GPS/leveling data EGM96 global geopotential model-based geoid undulations applied for fitting. height corrections range ranged from –0.66 m to 0.87 m. Root-Mean-Square errors ~10.0 m, ~16.4 ~6.6 obtained SRTM30, ASTER GDEM2, ALOS AW3D30, respectively. It found that compared with model, all DEMs in mountainous areas generally overestimated elevation value at 90% confidence level by 3-6 meters exceeded declared distributors. But AW3D30 proved be most accurate best represents topography earth’s could used some engineering applications Valley.

Dem (digital Elevation Model) Production and Accuracy Modeling of Dems from 1:35.000 Scale Aerial Photographs

Aerial photographs and satellite imagery have been evaluated manually by the operators for a long time for the extraction of the contour line and DEM data. Computer technology and digital image processing technologies have been developed and this development provides to perform these extraction processes automatically or semi-automatically. The aim of making the processes automatic is to increa...

Accuracy Evaluation and Gross Error Detection in Digital Elevation Models Based on LIDAR Data

With the LIDAR data more wide use in DEM products, especially in urban area DEM modeling, the research on Grid DEM with LIDAR data is more and more urgent. Also users are more desired to acquaint themselves with LIDAR data, especially to know more about the accuracy of Grid DEM based on LIDAR data. Therefore, it is rather necessary to explore the matter of accuracy of DEM based on LIDAR data. I...

Accuracy Assessment of Lidar-derived Digital Elevation Models

Despite the relatively high cost of airborne lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs), such products are usually presented without a satisfactory associated estimate of accuracy. For the most part, DEM accuracy estimates are typically provided by comparing lidar heights against a finite sample of check point coordinates from an independent source of higher accuracy, supposing a normal dist...

Accuracy of Local Topographic Variables Derived from Digital Elevation Models

We study the accuracy of data on some local topographic attributes derived from digital elevation models (DEMs). First, we carry out a test for the precision of four methods for calculation of partial derivatives of elevations. We ® nd that the Evans method is the most precision algorithm of this kind. Second, we produce formulae for root mean square errors of four local topographic variables (...
